I couldn’t find much information about Ryan Hinkle, the artist performing this week's Essie Country’s 21st Century Real Country Music Christmas Song of the Week, “Even the Snow is Falling.” 

 

His Facebook page is inactive, and his page listing tour dates shows no upcoming shows. It’s like he has disappeared from the face of the Earth. I found some information about legal troubles he had, but since I couldn’t verify that information, I won’t say what those problems were. 

 

While there isn’t any information about the artist Ryan Hinkle, I do know one thing: his style and artistry earned him and his song a spot in this year's Essie Country’s Celebration of Christmas. 

 

This Christmas love song is easy and pleasant to listen to. The classic country steel guitar enhances the magic of the song, while the perfectly placed background vocals throughout give it a warm Christmas fireplace feel. 

 

I listened to over 40 songs to choose three for our three weeks of Christmas-themed music in December. “Even the Snow is Falling” easily made the cut.

Greetings to fans of real country music.  Essie Country’s 21st Century Real Country Music Song of the Week  “Jupiter” by Camryn Marie for the week of 11/02/25 - 11/08/25 Jupiter by Camryn Marie  Released 04/26/25 Intro by Gene Johns To be honest, I struggled with choosing “Jupiter” as an Essie Country’s 21st Century Real Country Music Song of the Week. Greetings to fans of real country  music, and welcome to this week’s  Essie Country’s 21st Century Real  Country Music Song of the Week, for the week of 11/30/25 - 12/06/25 Watching it Rain by Jesse Raub Jr Released 05/24/2024 Intro by Gene Johns Who would have thought that repeating the phrase “watching it rain” fifteen times in a song would make it a great song? Yes, I counted them. I’m retired, so I have the time to investigate such trivial things.   “Watching it Rain” is a catchy song written by singer-songwriter Joel Shewmake and performed by a real country artist, Jesse Raub Jr. I challenge you to listen to this song a second time and not sing along with “watching it rain.”   Jesse sings about lying in a river and watching it rain.
